Tis the season! Epcot international festival of the holidays is SO CLOSE to debuting! While I’m sad to see food and wine go, I’m excited to see what this holiday season has to offer. We got special sneak peak this past week to see all that’s to come this holiday season at Epcot.

What is the festival of the holidays?
International festival of the holidays is a festival event host at the world showcase in Epcot at Walt Disney World. The 2019 dates for this festival are November 29th-December 30th, which almost immediately follows the food and wine festival.
What’s special about the Epcot international festival of the holidays 2019?
A new fireworks show, “Epcot Forever” makes the firework dessert part worth the while! Enjoy sweets and treats under the stars while you enjoy the firework show. Some of our favorite character meet and greats also get an upgrade for the holidays. Find Anna and Elsa wearing their NEW frozen 2 gear, as well as Santa Goofy and Mickey and Minnie in they holiday best.
What kind of food is at Epcot international festival of the holidays 2019?
Enjoy several different dishes that are from all around the world, and eaten during the holiday season. Food choices such as:
- Smoked salmon potatoes latke, found in L’Chaim! Holiday Kitchen
- Pork schnitzel with mushroom sauce and spaetzle, found in Bavaria Holiday Kitchen in Germany.
- Canadian wild rice soup with almonds served with a pretzel roll.
… and SO many more options. These were just our favorite 3 dishes we tried!
What kind of entertainment is at Epcot international festival of the holidays?
You can find holiday themed musical entertainment at the Festival. We previewed a wonderful choir, who sang the most amazing holiday melodies. We also saw Chinese Lion dancers, that can be found in the China Pavilion. These dancers wish away all your bad luck for the new year. Find a Mariachi band performing holiday tunes in the Mexico Pavilion.
What is the Cookie Stroll at Epcot?
The cookie stroll is a scavenger hunt full of sweetness. Find 5 official stops where special holiday cookies are available for purchase. Receive a stamp in your Festival Passport with each cookie purchase. One you collect all of the stamps in your passport, you can visit Sweets & Treats and get a FREE Mickey shaped Santa cookie!
What is the Christmas Tree Spree at Epcot?
The Christmas tree spree is a hunt for ornaments to help fill Chip & Dale’s tree. Buy maps for $7 at Disney Traders along with stickers. When you spot Chip & Dale around the world showcase, place the correct stamp on your map location. Once your map is full, bring it back to Disney Traders to receive special ornaments as prizes!
Where can I find Holiday merchandise at Epcot?
You can find Festival of the Holidays special event merchandise at Mouse Gear. This includes the super adorable Chip & Dale long sleeve pictured below. Also for purchase is Christmas light purses, Chip & Dale cookie jars, ornaments, and much more.
Are any of the rides decorated for Festival of the Holidays?
Yes!! We got a special sneak peak at Living with the Land with a Christmas Overlay. Christmas lights flood the greenery, stockings are hung, and there are many hidden Mickeys! You can also see my personal favorite decoration, the sand snowman.
